Multipurpose centre

The purpose and justification of this activity is the formation of regional centres and networks that have been recommended to strengthen research and other related capacities.

It is envisaged that a Livestock Innovation and Business Centre (LIB Centre) is established in Kenya with offices in Malawi and Nigeria to continue building on existing STI capacity and learning and foster innovation and agribusiness development.

The LIB Centre hosts the Livestock Innovation and Business Network (LIB Network).

The LIB Centre supports the respective African governments to address knowledge gaps and build on existing STI capacity for MIL and learning.

The centre also engages with local decision makers on STI and opportunities.
